Today, since I have everything done, I just edited some old pictures I took. Here are a few. I took these pictures but I never used them for a project or anything but i liked them so I played around with them.

I really like this picture. The photographer of this picture is Fabio Bucciarelli. The sunset is gorgeous and the silhoettes of this picture aren't filled in all the ways it just looks cool and nothing is very distracting.  This picture gives you a kind of mysterious feeling with the fog on the ground and its a big empty space. The texture of the fog looks very noticeable.

I finished all of my projects so I just played around with this picture and included a picture of the northern lights and shaped it to her and brought down the opacity

Today I just edited and chose the pictures I'm going to use for my composition review assignment. The first one is balance I balanced out the sky and the tree. The second one is simplicity because the only subject is the building and theres nothing taking away your attention from the building. The third one is rule of thirds because the moon is off to the side and not centered.

Inspirational photo of the week

I think this picture is so awesome!! it's busy yet its not too distracting . I really like how everything is centered and the mountains and sky reflect off the water. I like the leading lines as well.

Here are some of the other light painting pictures I took
This is my favorite light painting picture I took. It looks better on Lightroom so i'm kind of upset about how it looks on here :( I had to bring down the exposure quit a lot on Lightroom so you can see all of the lines and trails that it left since I put it on a super long exposure.  I didn't really face a problem and i wouldn't have changed anything about this picture if i had to do it again

Today I just wrote an essay To the upcoming photography students. I believe they will really enjoy this  class because I know I did. This class showed me stuff I would've never learned if I didn't take this class. I'm glad I had the chance to be in this class:)

Weekly Inspiration

This photo was taken by a traveling photographer named Dook. This is truly a beautiful picture. The whole picture is taken up and occupied with the subject and the background. The sunset reflects off of the ocean and brings some color to the tree. Its different because the tree is coming from a different angle and there is a swing looking out over the ocean. This photo almost looks fake because of how beautiful the view is but its not. This is a great photo opportunity.

I edited photos of my nephews today in class and also did my Progress tracker. I don't get to see my nephews often because of how far away they live but when I do see them I take all of the pictures I can get because they're great subjects.

I did my second challenge I photoshopped it to be water colors. I used one of my tye-dye pictures I took to do this challenge. it was really over exposed at the end so I brought it back into photoshop to bring it down.

I did one of my 2 challenges. Here are 3 of the pictures I chose to do the pick a color challenge. I mean it is more than one color but still:) Very vibrant lots of color.

May 6, 2015

Today I had to choose between the 6 highlighted photos to use as my district picture. I ended up choosing one of them and did my artist statement and submitted it. Our class also discussed our new assignment and we made a list of what we have learned and what we want to learn.

Chris Niedenthal is an inspiration to me. his photographs are so different from other people. When people take portraits most of the photographers have there subject do something or look at the camera but his photos he takes action shots of the person while they are doing it. Many of his pictures are like that. He shows. His pictures really show the persons emotions because they are going on with theyre day the portraits he takes are not planned. His pictures just show the everyday life of people.
